What Becoming a Pen Pal Means Here
Letters with Rita is rooted in slow, thoughtful correspondence. There are no schedules, no matching systems, and no guarantees of response time.
If you write, I will read your letter. If and when I respond will depend on the season and capacity I’m in—but every letter is received with care.
How to Send a Letter
If you’d like to write, you’re welcome to send a letter or card by mail. You can share as much or as little as you like—introduce yourself, tell me what’s on your heart, or simply say hello.
There’s no right format and no expectation to write “well.” Just write honestly.

A Small Note About Boundaries
Letters with Rita is meant to be a place of encouragement and connection, not crisis support. If you’re walking through something heavy and need immediate help, I encourage you to reach out to someone who can support you in real time.
